About Ed

As a senior project manager at 1898 & Co., Ed leads teams that build industrial cybersecurity solutions and provide guidance for critical infrastructure clients around the world.

A graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, where he studied civil engineering, Ed served as an officer in the Marine Corps for 26 years. After moving to the private sector, Ed worked with several major consulting firms, supporting some of the largest financial institutions and infrastructure clients in the world, including leading a post-merger integration project bringing three disparate client operations and systems together to create a unified operating model. After founding and leading a small consultancy for 14 years, Ed earned an MBA from George Washington University and continued working as an independent project manager for cybersecurity programs. In recent roles, Ed has thrived in high-functioning teams where the reality of collaboration and mutual support motivates everyone to deliver solutions.

What motivates Ed
A people person, Ed thrives by creating high morale on a team. He believes a positive, winning attitude is a key driver in accomplishing goals. In his role, he enjoys meeting and talking with people and maintaining a strong sense of process discipline and shared purpose. Ed does not consider accomplishments as a win unless the client and the project team are winning, too.

A little about Ed
A former track athlete, Ed now prefers cycling to stay active. A fan of the Tour de France, he aspires to leisurely ride some of it one day. When not cycling, Ed enjoys spending time with his family, attending Tennessee ball games and supporting his kids, friends and family at events.
