About Michael

As a section manager at 1898 & Co., Michael advises clients within the power industry on complex investment and operational decisions to prepare the electric grid for future challenges and transformations.

Michael attended Texas A&M University, where he studied electrical engineering. He began his career in the oil and gas industry before moving into transmission planning, and then later distribution planning. In his current role, Michael specializes in grid modernization planning, developing strategies to help meet evolving consumer expectations for better reliability, distributed energy resource integration, energy efficiency and grid automation.

Modernizing the electric grid is an endless endeavor, but Michael embraces a positive long-term focus by recognizing that each project, no matter the size, contributes to the journey. Michael prides himself on being a reliable resource for clients and strives to produce consistent results.

A little bit about Michael
Michael and his wife consider themselves foodies, often exploring new and unique restaurants throughout the Dallas area. They’ve recently embarked on a mission to find the best chicken and waffles. A Texas native, you’ll find him cheering on the Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars and even the Texas Rangers.
