About Mitch

As a senior project manager at 1898 & Co., Mitch helps the power industry plan for the future of their transmission systems.

Mitch graduated with an electrical engineering degree from the University of Nebraska, where he studied power systems and transmission planning. Starting with Burns & McDonnell, he has over a decade of experience performing and leading long-term planning, load and generation interconnection, seasonal operating studies and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Order 1000 project development. In addition to his project leadership, Mitch develops and manages proprietary software automation tools that are leveraged by 1898 & Co. planners. These tools are designed to integrate with industry-leading planning software to provide increased efficiency and computational bandwidth.

How Mitch helps his clients
Mitch supports clients’ industry visions to move toward the high penetration of renewable energy by assisting in solving the complex questions of how to get there and position them for success. With his history of successful project delivery, he leads projects that produce accurate and insightful results efficiently and consistently.

What motivates Mitch
Mitch is motivated to constantly learn and improve new, effective ways to support clients. The support he is able to provide to clients as they work to build reliable power systems and operate successfully today and in the future keeps him focused on delivering for every project.

A little bit about Mitch
The two things Mitch enjoys most are going to the pool with his two sons and golfing. His hobbies also include cooking with his smoker, programming and helping out with his kids’ sports.
