About Adam

As a project management director at 1898 & Co., Adam leads transmission planning projects, developing reliable, cost-efficient plans designed to meet increasing power demands. With a background in traditional transmission planning studies, he helps clients conduct power flow, short circuit, transient stability and voltage stability analysis.

Adam attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he studied electrical and computer engineering. Starting at Burns & McDonnell after college, he has over 15 years of transmission planning experience, particularly helping clients with North American Electric Reliability Corp (NERC) reliability standards for generation and transmission owners. Adam has supported members within multiple regional transmission operator regions, including NERC compliance and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Order 1000 project submissions across regional transmission organizations Southwest Power Pool (SPP), PJM Interconnection and the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO).

How Adam helps his clients
Adam helps clients address their most challenging transmission planning projects. He has experience with a wide range of transmission and generation planning services, including generation and load interconnections, transmission long-range plans, distribution master plans, power transfer studies, locational marginal pricing and congestion, and numerous compliance studies. Working with utilities across the U.S., he brings an experienced perspective to his projects, helping clients avoid pitfalls and use industry best practices.

What motivates Adam
Adam is motivated by the relationships that have been built both internally and externally over his 15 years in the industry. He wants to make clients successful and continues to go the extra mile on every deliverable. The focus on building and maintaining relationships drives him to make his clients successful. Adam believes the crux of successful business is trust.

A little bit about Adam
Adam is busy raising his three young kids when he’s away from work. In between carting them around to all their activities, he likes to venture outdoors to fish, hike or lounge on the beach during a family vacation.
