About Robert
Robert Healy started his career as a pipeline engineer, but these days he’s focused on keeping 1898 & Co.’s pipeline full of business opportunities. With a degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business, Robert uses his broad knowledge base to identify opportunities for the 1898 & Co. team to help a client achieve their strategic goals.
Robert has spent over 30 years in the energy industry, and before joining 1898 & Co., he spent several years working internationally in London and Madrid. Before becoming a business development director with 1898 & Co., he managed a renewable energy team at Burns & McDonnell.
How Robert helps his clients
Robert sees his job as relationship building, internally and externally. The better he knows his clients, the better he is able to build a bridge between their needs and 1898 & Co.’s capabilities. He is particularly adept at helping clients identify and prioritize their needs and bringing together the right resources to help them achieve their strategic goals.
What motivates Robert
Robert is inspired by potential: potential opportunities, potential clients, potential connections. He loves to identify new ways 1898 & Co. can help solve client issues and achieve their goals. His fondest project memories are when he helped two Northwest utilities complete the development and construction of two wind farms. For him, knowing his experience, skills and team brought a renewable energy project to fruition — while leaving the client happy — was incredibly motivating.
A little bit about Robert
His time in Europe fortified his love for soccer. He follows Sporting KC, Chelsea FC and Real Madrid — and he’s even attended the World Cup and the Euros before. One of Robert’s bucket list items: do the Camino de Santiago, aka the walk of Saint James, which is a hike of more than 100 kilometers with several different starting points that ends in Santiago de Compostela in northwest Spain at the Cathedral of St. James.
