About Stephen

As a project manager at 1898 & Co., Stephen works with power generators to make processes more efficient and reliable by bringing in industry best practices and designing programs to help reduce operations and maintenance costs.

Stephen attended Auburn University, where he earned his degree in chemical engineering. Starting his career as a systems engineer, he has decades of experience with two of the largest power utilities in the country in a variety of leadership roles focused on plant operations, maintenance and engineering. He is skilled in all aspects of project management and project life cycle, both working for and supporting utilities. Stephen’s experience in technical support and project management has crossed all fields, including information technology, operational technology, electrical, mechanical and chemical. Moving to 1898 & Co., Stephen now leads projects across the country to optimize operations and maintenance budgets to provide reliable operations.

How Stephen helps his clients
With an extensive background in the utilities space, Stephen offers a sense of relatability as he’s been in the client’s position and understands the challenges they are facing and the day-to-day reality of how plants operate. He looks at the way an entire program functions, including maintenance, operations, processes and procedures, to see where he can help clients be more efficient and build out actionable plans to implement process improvements.

What motivates Stephen
Stephen is driven to provide results. He builds trust with clients through open, honest communication and enjoys providing personal stories of how he’s seen things unfold in the past. His role is focused on building successful projects and continuing long-term relationships.

A little bit about Stephen
Stephen loves spending time with his family and taking his kids somewhere fun. When not with his family, he always has a project waiting for him working on tractors or vehicles.
