About Ben
As vice president of sales and marketing for 1898 & Co., Ben drives business growth and leads the team that partners directly with clients to tackle their toughest challenges. He began his career as a mechanical engineer, supporting the design and construction of power generation projects for electric utilities. That experience gave him firsthand appreciation for the technical, financial and operational challenges utilities face in delivering reliable energy.
Over time, Ben transitioned into account management, where he serves a broad range of utility clients and works closely with their leadership teams to align solutions with their long-term goals. Today, he leads the 1898 & Co. brand and is responsible for revenue growth throughout the practice. He is passionate about creating long-term partnerships with clients and continually unlocking value from their assets, helping them achieve both immediate results and lasting impact.

What motivates Ben
Ben enjoys problem solving with a diverse team. He leans into the complexity of his clients’ asset-intensive businesses with a goal of simplifying them. The diversity in thought from both clients and colleagues and the drive to deliver sustainable transformation is the ultimate motivator. “There is never a day I’m not learning something new,” he says.
A little bit about Ben
With three kids at home, Ben’s favorite day off is spent with his wife and kids at the park, throwing the football or attending a sporting event. He also loves golfing and watching any sports, but especially his Huskers and any Kansas City team. Ben’s guilty pleasure food is just in line with his three young kids. “Candy. Chocolate. Sugar. I can’t stop,” he says.
