About Ryan

​As a business development manager at 1898 & Co., Ryan works with clients to find solutions to their most difficult challenges. Bringing business, technology and cybersecurity solutions to his clients, he helps them plan for future success and prepare for any adversity they may face along the way.

Ryan attended the University of Missouri–Kansas City, where he earned his degree in electrical and computer engineering. Starting as a grid modernization planner, he worked with electric utilities to perform various grid studies and prepare long-term investment plans based on their results. Moving to the business side in his current role, he is responsible for partnering with clients to understand their needs and identify the 1898 & Co. services and solutions that can address them. Ryan works across organizations to fully support clients and see that projects are delivered successfully.

How Ryan helps his clients
Ryan is driven to provide a fresh perspective for his clients, seeing their challenges from the outside and bringing proven solutions to help them move forward. With all the changes and uncertainty in the critical infrastructure industry, he acts as a resource who tracks trends in the industry and helps his clients incorporate what fits for them. As a business development manager, Ryan is the client advocate within 1898 & Co., serving as a point of contact for clients and is there to help them whenever needed.

What motivates Ryan
Ryan is insatiably curious. Being able to dig into everything his clients are dealing with and connect the dots to develop creative solutions is what keeps him moving forward. He works to understand how every person in an organization fits together so that he can offer solutions that are designed to work for that client and will be successful over the long term.

A little bit about Ryan
Ryan loves to explore nature with his giant dog, Winston, and he’s a huge Chiefs fan. A long-time guitar player, he is passionate about playing and writing music and tries to make it to as many local concerts as his schedule will allow.
