System Assessment & Road Maps

Organizations need enterprise asset management (EAM) software assessments and road maps to identify areas for improvement within their existing software systems, to prioritize improvement initiatives, and to create a clear plan for achieving strategic technology goals. We work closely with you to evaluate, modernize and maximize the value of your EAM systems.

HOW WE HELP

We compare a current state assessment and a future state target model against a maturity model uniquely developed for utilities. This model was developed using guiding principles from the Institute of Asset Management. Our approach consists of three phases:

  • Phase 1: Establishes the current state assessment of business processes, systems and dataflows that support the asset management processes by conducting workshops with stakeholders.
  • Phase 2: Defines the future state asset management and prioritization by combining our industry experience and trends with the visionary ideas of sponsors and key stakeholders.
  • Phase 3: Delineates the target operating model, prioritizes key initiatives and envisions the desired future state. We deliver a road map that includes sequenced projects and dependencies for the target operating model to help you execute the road map. We also provide a rough order of magnitude for each project and support you in presenting the executive summary to your sponsors and answering their strategic questions.

OUR APPROACH

We take a comprehensive approach to system assessments and road map development by taking into consideration:

  • Process: Understanding the end-to-end business operations that support EAM objectives.
  • Technology: Determining the systems and technical integrations necessary to support EAM processes and associated operational pain points.
  • People: Understanding your current EAM organization and recommending best practices and guidance for your team to successfully implement, optimize and sustain an EAM solution.
