About Charles

As a director at 1898 & Co., Chuck leads the change management team, helping clients to improve their operations and successfully adopt new ways of doing business through successful transformation of “People, Process and Culture.”

After graduating from the University of Colorado with a degree in economics, Chuck went on to gain his master’s in economics from Claremont Graduate University and an additional master’s in political economy from the University of Colorado. Chuck has over 20 years of experience supporting clients in the energy and water utility space. His areas of specialty include assessing, developing and implementing comprehensive transformation programs for utilities and other capital-intensive businesses. He’s active in the change management industry, serving as vice president and board member of the Colorado chapter of the Association of Change Management Professionals.

How Chuck helps clients
Chuck works closely with clients to understand an organization’s specific strategic and operational objectives, and then designs the plans, organizational structures, business processes and decision-making frameworks to achieve those objectives. He routinely incorporates change management, coaching and organizational culture shift into his engagements.

What motivates Chuck
Helping clients develop strategies to manage large, complex programs with many phases and challenges keeps Chuck excited. With a focus in the power and water industries, he sees the transformations that are impacting those clients every day and is driven to help them continue to move the industry forward.

A little bit about Chuck
A resident of Colorado, Chuck enjoys spending time outside hiking, running and playing sports. He has a passion for vocal music and is always on the lookout for a new concert to attend.
